- Bowyer recorded four top-five and 16 top-10 finishes en route to finishing 15th in the final NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship point standings.
- Earned two NNS victories in RCR’s No. 29 Chevrolet in 2009, Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in July and Dover (Del.) International Speedway in September.
- Bowyer made his second-consecutive berth in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup in 2008, and finished fifth in the final championship point standings. Recorded one win, seven top-five and 17 top-10 finishes.
- Recorded second career NSCS win on May 3, 2008, at Richmond International Raceway in 83rd start.
- Won the 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers championship. Recorded one win, 14 top-five and 29 top-10 finishes in 35 starts.
